A few from a recent newborn session – lovely little chap. Finding the right newborn photographer for you is very important. The photographer needs to have experience with babies and have been correctly trained in how to pose babies safely. I will writing a full blog post on this shortly.
Huge thanks to mum and dad for choosing us to photograph your beautiful daughter, we hope you enjoy this sneaky peak.

A huge welcome to our first newborn of 2016, the very gorgeous Poppy from Milton Keynes who barely opened her eyes during the whole photoshoot. Content to be fed, cuddled and posed, she was the picture of newborn baby bliss and an absolute dream to work with.
We always advise that our newborn shoots occur in the first fortnight when newborns are still very sleepy and foetal, but Poppy shows at age three weeks, there are exceptions to every rule. With a very placid nature, she was content as we worked, although slightly annoyed at times at being moved from comfortable, snoozy positions into a new pose and who can blame her! We shot plenty of close ups as we worked to capture her gorgeous brand new dinky features which is essentially why people come to us at this moment in time, and we know is a privilege to share.

It’s just as well we don’t rush as sleepy newborns are captivating and we really do enjoy our work because of this, each tiny bundle has their own character and their own sensitivity to touch which is where reading each baby’s body language is essential. Poppy was chilled out and oozed newborn beauty. There couldn’t be any more of a contrast – at the end of the shoot, quite frankly, we’re hot, red faced and not at all photogenic from working under the studio lights!

Poppy’s features are very dainty, with long, delicate fingers that she kept tightly grasped shut for the majority of the shoot which look very cute on camera. I can vouch for their vice like grip! Although she wasn’t keen on her fingers being outstretched, she relaxed into the head on hands position so we could uncurl them for her photos. We always learn thing or two from every shoot and Poppy reminded us that all babies are unique with their own range of movement.
