Baby Evy recently turned six months old so now that I’m back to blogging newborns, I figured it was about time I featured her! But before I tell you about her session, can I just say how much I love when my past newborns become older siblings? It’s really so wonderful to see past clients again, see how much their first little baby has grown, and meet the newest addition to their family! I really have the best job!!

Today I’m highlighting Baby Evelyn! She is the little sister to Andy, one of the very first newborns I photographed when my studio was brand new a couple of years ago already. His little face is just as cute as it was when he was a baby and I have to say that he allllmost stole the show during Evy’s newborn session. He was so well-behaved! We managed to get him for two poses with his little sister, which is pretty impressive for a two year old who doesn’t want to stay still.

It’s a BOY! I don’t know how it happens but it always feels like the newborns I photograph always come in waves of boys or girls. This summer I had a string of baby boys and this fall I’ve had mostly girls! Little Andrew broke the pattern at just 9 days new and he was a perfect little angel! For Andrew’s session we went with lots of creams and shades of blue and he looked adorable in every shot! My favorite moment was when I was photographing Andrew with his mommy and daddy and he smiled just as his parents were smiling at each other. So sweet! I’m so glad I caught that adorable little moment for mom and dad to treasure forever. I loved working with this new family of three and I know you’ll enjoy viewing my favorites from his session. Evy’s session took place when she was just 8 days new! A lot of people don’t know this, but newborn sessions are best done within the first 14 days of birth. That’s the time in their little lives when they’re the sleepiest and curliest. And almost the smallest, too! We started the session out with family photos, parent photos, and sibling photos, and then moved on to individual baby photos. We used a soft color palette of soft coral pink and dusty rose and at the last minute we incorporated a soft green that was just so pretty with Evy’s skin tone. Check out a few favorites from the session below!

You’re in for a treat today because I’m sharing one of my newest and cutest little clients. Not only that, but he was super well-behaved, too! I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter little guy. This is Baby Michael. His parents found me through an online search and I’m so thankful they did! Michael’s parents were so excited about welcoming their little guy into the world. This little cutie actually came into this world a little earlier than planned but he is perfectly healthy and his parents are over the moon with this new addition to their little family. For Michael’s newborn session styling his parents chose neutrals with shades of gray and cream – one of my favorite combinations. I seriously love how cohesive this collection turned out – I’m sure it’s going to look so amazing in a wall art gallery and in their birth announcement, too! It was such a pleasure working with this family – they were so excited for their session and so sweet with their little guy, tending to all his little needs. Enjoy this peek into my time with this family of three and come back next Tuesday to meet another one of my tiniest little clients!
