It is a big decision who you chose to photograph and handle your newborn! Don’t rush it, it is best to look and book while you are still pregnant. Your wedding photographer might not be the best choice even you LOVED your wedding photos (unless they specialise in wedding and newborn photography). Think about style of photographs you see on the website (do you love a lot of props around baby? baby in costumes? or more natural photographs? Do you prefer having photographer come to your home so you don’t have to rush? or do you believe that professional work is only done in the studio? Consider personality of the photographer, quality of their work and products, as well as your budget vs. prices.

Vicki lives in Kirkcaldy with her little cocker spaniel, Jasmine. She started Victoria Litster Photography in 2010 after many years of photography being just a hobby. Turning a beloved hobby into a career is the best thing she has ever done! She absolutely loves her job. Her business, her photographs and her customers mean every thing to her.

I got a phone case ordered as well as our package and it’s a great way to show off the fantastic pictures and also how gorgeous our daughter is we can’t wait to book our cake smash now!! Thank you Sara x ” Nicola

Can not recommend Sara enough! Absolutely love all my photo’s!!! they’re perfect! she did an amazing job. My girls thought she was fab, she was so good with them. She is such a talented lady! Now I have special photos of my girls I can treasure forever. Can’t wait till the next time, when I bring my husband and dog along too!

I feel very privileged to be doing a job that I adore and I consider it an honour to get to work with babies only days old and to capture them as they grow. There is also something really lovely when the little person that you have photographed since they were a bump comes back to the studio with their new sibling.

When I don’t have a camera in my hand you can find me with my three little dudes usually knee deep in lego and fighting my way through the never ending washing pile. They are my first full time job and it’s them that I have to thank for getting me into the industry that I love so much.

Newborn photography is a very demanding specialization. Not only it requires good technical knowledge but it also takes a LOT of safety training. I have worked as a newborn photographer for 4 years and I was blessed with a chance of holding and photographing many tiny, fragile and precious babies.

Kirsty is a multi award winning professionally qualified Photographer based in Fife.  She feels she is very blessed to have such a wonderful career.  Working with clients she really invests her time into events coming up with creative and beautiful life long lasting images.  Kirsty prefers to work in a relaxed, natural fashion so you do not feel under pressure to pose for dozens of formal posed shots but these can of course be factored into your day if desired I also love outdoor shoots we live in such a beautiful country I love being able to combine my love for the outdoors and amazing images.

Their newborn photography captures this special time in a way that is unique to each baby.  They use a variety of small baby props such as mini cots, blankets, small cases, baskets and towels and gently dress your baby in hats, headbands and clothing that will give the ” aww factor” as well as smiles. Their Newborn Photography sessions are very much relaxed.  With plenty of time taken to ensure your baby is comfortable and secure.  Their sets are pre-made so its a simple case of just moving your little one from one set to another.  If your baby is not comfortable or unhappy then we stop the session until they are ready again, this means we have to allow up to two hours per session to cover such things.

Having 3 little ones means I am fully experienced when it comes to a toddlers ability to have a perfectly timed tantrum and it doesn’t phase me. I like my studio sessions to be relaxed and informal as it helps everyone feel at ease which then shows in the images.

As well as a full-time photographer I am also a mum to 3 amazing crazy boys. My love of photography was born after I had my second son and I realized how fleeting those special moments were.  I bought a camera, hired a studio and Sara Webster Photography was born. I am now a multi award-winning photographer and a proud member of the Guild of Photographers.

From fingers to toes, eyelashes to their nose, when you’re little bundle of joy arrives you don’t want to miss out on our newborn photoshoot to capture all the little details perfectly. They would recommend booking you and your little bump in around your 20 week scan for their newborn shoot. They understand that sometimes your baby may be slightly early or late so they can always reschedule your newborn shoot if need be. To guarantee the best type of newborn shots they would recommend the best time to have your shoot is when your newborn is 4 – 12 days old as they are still curly and cuddly. They have everything you need to capture your newborn perfectly, using different textiles and tones from props, blankets and hats to compliment your baby’s skin.

Laura is a multi-award winning photographer based in Fife, Scotland. She specialises in newborns and early years. She is also part of BANPAS as association who are all about working safely with babies which is very important to her.

Based in Lochgelly Fife Sara specialises in children, families, maternity and babies. She loves creating natural images that reflect a child’s personality. She encourages customers to bring their own props, anything that will make your portraits extra special! It is important to her that when you come for a studio session you have fun.

New child photography can be exceptionally challenging , not solely because the fashions can are usually a little uncooperative, but additionally because of the fact they spend plenty of time sleeping and very little time smiling. This article has a couple of hints and tips that should hopefully present you how one can photograph newborn babies and be certain that you find yourself with a shot that the household will need to treasure forever.

The lighting of your shot will likely be especially important. You do not wish to go exposing newborn eyes to shiny flash bulbs, so try and take photographs in situations which might be naturally shiny when photographing newborns. Improve the ISO and publicity compensation in your digicam in low gentle ranges , however check to make sure that the image would not turn out to be too grainy as a result.

Be sure to consider the angles at which you are taking your shots. It can be very straightforward to fall into the behavior of always capturing from above, so before long you have got an album stuffed with shots looking down on the child. Attempt getting down on the same level as the newborn, and allow them to fill the complete frame of your photo.

Give attention to some of the smaller elements of their face, or on a single hand or foot to get some really interesting macro shots. It is often an thought to keep your digital camera on a continuous capturing mode, as a child `s expression can change incredibly quickly. Take quite a few photographs for each setup, and hopefully you`ll be left with one good one. Digital photography allows you delete any unwanted shots.

Keep in mind that these pictures are being taken to capture the second and to look back on in years to come. Consider what pictures and memories you are looking to preserve. If there may be any item or toy that plays an important part of their early days, capture it. The family shot is at all times a favorite ; so be sure you get one among each mum and pop with the baby. Another basic pictures to contemplate are ones with the newborn `s hand or foot in its mother `s hand to emphasise the difference in dimension , or pictures of the mother nursing capture the intimacy of the relationship.

By following these newborn photography ideas you will be able to enhance your photography abilities and end up with pictures worth wanting again on a few years from now.
