Speaking of her Daddy, his sister (and Madelyn’s aunt) bought her the cutest little superhero costume for her photography session…

Each baby is unique and like all of us, they arrive with a set of likes and dislikes. Throughout your baby’s session, you will see that I get a feel for your baby to discover what these are and pose them in ways that are comfortable as well as cute.

Of course, she is the daughter of my good friends Michael and Megan, so I may be a bit biased… but I don’t think so.

AHH!  How can you look at those newborn-superhero photos and NOT smile?  TOO MUCH CUTENESS!

Book early if you can. I hold your due date as a tentative session date. Since babies come when they’re good and darn well ready, I’m prepped for shuffling schedules. Booking early guarantees I have plenty of room around your due date to fit you in.

Madelyn arrived on June 6, 2014, much to the delight of her parents… and pretty much everyone else that they know!

Classic newborn sessions can include parent or siblings and a variety of props and poses. These are perfect for those who want ALL THE THINGS and really just can’t get enough pictures of their squish.

Michael and Megan, thanks so much for letting me photograph your precious little girl.  You sure did create a cute baby.    I hope you enjoy the photos!

The canvas on the left was hand-painted by another of our friends, and everyone at Madelyn’s baby shower took turns writing a wish for her on each of the balloons.  The artwork on the right was drawn by Megan’s super-talented sister, who gifted Madelyn with several Classic Pooh art pieces.  I think its safe to say that Madelyn has some impressively talented, creative people who love her very much. 🙂

Madelyn arrived home to the most adorable Classic Pooh-themed nursery, including personalized artwork made by family and friends.

No need to agonize over what outfit baby will be swimming in for their pictures. I provide all we need, unless, of course, you have something special in mind.

I’m well seasoned at photographing newborns outdoors. For those who are feeling adventurous, these types of sessions always stand out from the rest.

Madelyn was one of the calmest, happiest newborns that I have ever photographed.  She was wide awake most of the time I was with her, and was perfectly content just watching everything I was doing.  She was especially interested in the sound my camera made each time I clicked the shutter — which was not only adorable, but also resulted in some gorgeous baby photos!

Because your baby is special, special attention is given to all the tiny details. I partner with only the best prop vendors, and handcraft many of my own items for every session so that every baby has something a little bit different and as unique as they are!

Or, you can pick up something handcrafted by me from Tansy Lane, my prop boutique!

From the newest newbie, to the seasoned pro, I am happy to offer guidance in the form of downloadable tutorials, portfolio reviews, one on one private mentoring or group workshops.

Safety is always my top priority when posing your little one. I have ten years of newborn posing training and coursework under my belt so that you can relax comfortably, knowing your little bundle is in good hands.

Such a little beauty!  I told her Daddy that he is going to be in T-R-O-U-B-L-E when she gets older.  Although, it seems she already has him wrapped tightly around her little finger.

Many clients bring heirloom props, like grandma’s quilt or other mementos to include a touch of baby’s ancestry. These are always welcome.

We don’t own a photograph, we merely borrow it for the future. That means the gift of newborn photography will be as timeless as the images.

I’m always ready to roll. That means you can opt to have your session in the comfort of your own home, or if you prefer, you can come to mine. Either way, the props you see from buckets and bowls to wood floors, are 100% transportable. All I require is space to work and an electrical outlet.

I am so, so excited to share these photos.  This little lady was such a dream to photograph –only 8 days old, a natural in front of the camera, and absolutely gorgeous!

Madelyn was so tiny and perfect, and barely larger than her stuffed Pooh bear.  So precious!

Baby is swaddled and placed with a single colored background to match. These are perfect for those who want just a few images and very little fuss.
